Full time and Part-time Resident Counselor/Human Service Aides needed in Hamilton NY.
Residence Counselor is responsible to implement the individuals protection plan, attend to individuals personal care needs, oversee the individuals safety, keep nurse advised, participate in Agency activities, transport and accompany individuals on activities and asset in daily housekeeping and other facility-related duties and maintain documentation. This position has regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities) OR OMH (Office of Mental Health).
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have High school or GED, up to one year of experience helpful, but will accept a trainee. Work hours and days will vary according to schedule.
SALARY RANGE: Base rate $9.18 hour, additional $0.75 for hours worked during the week past 3pm. Additional $1.25 per hour for hours worked past 3pm Friday over the weekend. Additional $0.50 and hour for AMAP Certification if required, to pass medications. Valid NYS Driver's license. Reference/security test required. Competitive integrated employment (CIE) is work performed by a person with an impairment or health-related disability (health impairment) within an integrated setting. Wages are at least minimum wage or higher and at a rate comparable to non-disabled workers performing the same tasks.
