Job Description:
The NYS&W has immediate openings for a Track Laborer in Deposit, NY
Duties include track maintenance and construction, installation of rails, ties, switches and other track materials, and culvert and bridge maintenance repairs. Requires the use of tools and equipment, maintenance and repair of equipment, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• frequent walking on uneven surfaces; standing extended periods of time; lift/carry and push/pull equipment and other objects weighing up to 75 lbs; bending, stooping and kneeling, working outdoors every day in all weather conditions
• must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, random drug tests, and background check
• must have a current class A CDL driver's license with a good driving record/history
• must be able to obtain a DOT medical card, as part of pre-employment physical, to allow CDL Class A operation of vehicles between 10,001# and 46,000# GVW's
