DCMOBOCESTASCTestDates

DCMO BOCES will be wrapping up the 2021-22 Entrepreneur Academy program with a class beginning on May 9th.

The 4-Weeks Business Development Course will be held virtually to give individuals access to instruction right from home Martha Ryan, former Director of the Chenango County Entrepreneur Center, will lead this program with dual roles as instructor and coach.  Eight sessions will guide students to preparing to launch a small business venture.   According to Ryan, the program is excellent for people who need the discipline to sit down and put their business ideas in writing.

The four week program has received funding to cover the $240. fee.  Many scholarships are available.  DCMO BOCES Graduates and alumni have the opportunity to apply for funding to cover all workshop expenses.  The initiative is a part of the Career Destinations program that introduces students to local career opportunities.  Graduates interested in participating in the program can begin the scholarship application process by sending an email to and explaining how they can apply the skills learned with their CTE education and why they wish to explore this career path.

Another scholarship, funded by the Community Foundation of South Central New York will benefit women who can use the workshop to develop a small business that can offset or improve their financial status especially those affected by layoffs or home school demands during this time of COVID.  According to Ryan, the application process requires candidates to send an email to or complete the scholarship application.

The workshop will be offered virtually on Mondays and Thursdays beginning on  May 9th from 6 pm to 8 pm.  For more information email Martha Ryan at .
